Oh, is that all? You shouldn't worry, y'know. Eggman can't kill Sonic, so, that's not a problem. Besides, maybe what you just did isn't actually a bad thing... maybe you just gave him a reason to give US a reason to, y'know, pay him a visit.

Sonic can defend himself, but the havoc Eggman would wreak just to prove me wrong and himself right is what I am most concerned with. I don't want to see people hurt because of my own carelessness again.

Say Eggman decides to be really stupid and wreak havoc. It would certainly put an even worse label on him and whatever sort of face he's trying to keep here would be blown, so to speak. Or we could be proactive and make sure that doesn't happen, right? Try not to worry, Espio. It's gonna be okay.

She doesn't make it easy, but it's good to not put too much pressure on it. She and Kit have endured much and I'm still learning how to work with them. Perhaps waiting until she chooses to interact with you may work best indeed.

I'm planning to assist Kit in baking a cake. I could read a recipe and memorize it no problem, but that does not account for skill and experience.

Kit wants to bake it himself, but I wish to be prepared in aiding him, so I would like an understanding of your approach. I can think of no one else more qualified.

Goodness, Espio, thank you! That's so kind of you to say! I'll do my best to give you some pointers and tips. Baking is a science, but it isn't difficult if you have the right tools! Did he specify what kind of cake he was hoping to bake?

I don't know how successful I have been. I feel as though I'm often fighting with Surge than I am befriending her, but I think there's been progress. I just wish I could encourage them to trust more people.

I provided a few different recipes, but I'm going to encourage that we try to make one with three different flavors. I don't think anyone knows what her favorite flavor will be so if we could somehow make it a strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla cake, that'd be optimal. Perhaps that is too bold for a pair of amateurs?

She hasn't tried to kill you yet, and she's also allowing you into her space. That says a lot, Espio. Give yourself more credit, silly -- if anyone can get her to come around, it's you. If it makes you feel better, she and I really can't be in the same space. I blew up on her a few weeks ago and I feel bad about it now. So I've been doing my best to avoid her, I don't want to make things worse if that makes any sense at all.

Ooo, a neapolitan cake! That's bold, but it's doable. The vanilla cake should be the easiest honestly; if you can get your hands on vanilla bean paste that will help you greatly. Vanilla extract works too, but I find that vanilla bean paste gives it a bit more flavor, and you also get flecks of the vanilla bean in your finished product. Chocolate cake should be straight forward too -- get some coffee or espresso powder and that will deepen the depth of the chocolate flavor. Also, the highest quality cocoa powder you can get! The strawberry portion will be the most difficult in my opinion because it will require the most amount of work. Are you going to use real strawberries, or just looking to use an extract?

If you want, I'll go shopping with you for ingredients. I'd offer to come over and help, but something tells me that'd end poorly for everyone involved.
