[ NO THAT'S NOT HOW THIS WORKS SHADOW. She likes her little broken ass house, cold or not! And that cough? It's a lingering, painful, deep chest sort of situation. This dumb girl is absolutely sick. The coughing eventually stops, but is quickly followed by a sneeze, and a miserable groan.
Will this make her think twice about staying in her cold as shit home? Nope. She's not going anywhere. ]
[THE HOUSE WILL GET REPAIRED. YOU DON'T NEED TO STAY THERE WHILE IT'S BEING REPAIRED.
He doesn't have to listen long to confirm his suspicion. Unfortunate it turned out for the worse. Clenching his fist, he moves back around towards the entrance, and proceeds to break down the front door. The home is already in disrepaired, what's one broken door.]
[ IT WILL ALSO GET REPAIRED WHILE SHE IS IN IT, THANKS!!
The sound of the door breaking makes Amy stiffen, and despite the illness she currently faces, she is fully prepared to open a can of whoop ass. Fortunately, all she sees is Shadow.
She stares at him from her blanket nest upon the couch, looking much like a caterpillar cocooned and ready for her metamorphosis. ]
[How about he stomps over and gets into her personal space instead, and puts a hand on her forehead.] This is not a cold. You won't get better staying here.
[ Oh lordy he comin'... she blinks when he places a hand against her forehead, which is definitely a little too warm. ] It's fine, really. I'm fine. Everything is fine.
This is proper shelter, I promise. My bedroom isn't damaged and is actually pretty warm, that's where I've mostly been staying.
[ Okay. He seems legitimately concerned. Huh. ]
I won't argue medicine though. I've just been trying to push through with tea...
[ She trails off, a little disoriented. For a moment, she looks like she might fall asleep-- but she blinks and shakes her head, snapping herself out of it. ]
Tch. You can barely stay awake. [She probably wouldn't fight him as he lifts her into his arms, taking some of the blanket. He highly doubts her room is suitable enough, but transporting her while it's freezing outside is not ideal...
He will carry her to the room and investigate first.]
I just-- [ She squeaks when he just picks her up, and she blinks a few times. Maybe she's just hallucinating right now.
Her room is significantly warmer. And also decorated very Amy. Her hammer rests in the corner of the room, and most items in here are pretty girly. There may or not be weights in the corner opposite her hammer. ]
[It is indeed very Amy, but how it appears is not his focus right now. The bedroom was indeed warm, but it could be warmer. It should be fine for tonight, he'll get her somewhere else when the weather calms down and it's daytime.
He's moving to the bed to set her down, practically covering her up like a burrito.] Stay put.
[He'll be leaving to see what medicine and supplies she had lying around that he can use. If he finds it insufficient, then he'll prep something himself.]
[ She blinks when he lowers her onto her bed. ] I... but--
[ And off he goes. She doesn't move, mostly because bed is warm and comfortable and suddenly her eyelids feel heavy. Medicine wise, she doesn't have much-- the standard day time and night time cough syrups, ibuprofen... basic things. Things that she's just clearly bought within the last few days. ]
[This could be better. For the night, it will do. He could get more suitable items after insuring she gets some relief.
There's the distant sound of drawer and shelves being shuffled about. Water running. The door to her room eventually opens once more, with Shadow coming in with a bowl of water and wash clothes soaking. He sets it on her bedside table as he comes up to the side of her bed.]
Take this. [There are two ibuprofen pills in his hand, a warm glass of water in the other.]
[ She's still not entirely convinced that this isn't some kind of hallucination. She cracks her eyes open when she hears him enter again, and she pushes herself to sit up when she sees he's actually brought her ibuprofen and water. ] Thanks.
[ She gingerly accepts the pills and quickly takes them down, before she practically chugs the water. Yeah. She's a little dehydrated for sure. ]
... [Guess he's getting her another glass so she can have some whenever. He patiently waits for her to finish. Once it's clear she's drank and taken her medicine, he gently presses his hand on her chest to get her to lay back down.] Rest. [He will have no ifs and buts about it.]
[ Even still, she doesn't resist when he urges her back onto the comfort of her plush mattress. She's quiet for a few, blessed moments, the only sound in the room being the slightest sound of wheezing as she exhales out. Unfortunately for him, the silence does not last. ]
[The silence is welcomed, that means she's resting. No conversation is made, Shadow thinking about what he needs to do next. His brow furrows as he listens to her uneasy breathing.
There's the sound of water as he wrings a wet cloth. He should have the plants to prepare proper medicine for her back on the ship. He'll probably get the wisp he left at the conservatory to come here and watch over her until he's finished preparing it. Make sure she has it in the morning.
Just as he prepares to place the wet cloth onto her head, he stops, staring at Amy when she calls to him.]
[ Staying awake is a struggle right now. She doesn't want to be sleeping, she wants to go out and get things done. And as much as she'd love to jump out of bed, she already knows that Shadow would likely toss her right back in it.
She also knows that she probably wouldn't get far anyways.
... [Saying that while her home is a wreck because of him. And her refusing to take better care of herself. All he can say to that is sigh. There's nothing. He just can't stand her acting so foolishlessly like this. A sickness that could have easily been avoided. The damp cloth is placed on her head to help cool her body.]
I'll be back. [He makes one more trip back to her room just to leave some water and then will properly depart. At some point in the night, she'll have the company of a violet wisp making sure she's staying in bed and not trying to do something reckless.
It'll likely be close to the early morning when Shadow returns to her home. He won't come barging into her room. The door is open slowly, checking on Amy's current status before entering.]
[ Fortunately for all parties involved, she actually sleeps most of the night. When she wakes up, a familiar Wisp is watching over her. It's sweet. She doesn't stay awake long enough to really be able to properly say anything to it or even really register It's even actually there.
By morning when Shadow returns, she's still fast asleep, curled up on her side facing the door. She's still a feverish mess, all pale where she shouldn't be, her muzzle slightly flush with a fever that's just not so willing to break just yet. ]
[The wisp at some point had dozed off himself, seeing as Amy hadn't moved. The damp cloth on her head had fallen off at some point. Well, seeing as she still asleep, he'll quietly enter her room. The light slowly creeping into her room makes it easier to see what was in here. It's not his priority, but he can't help a curious glance around. What he needs to do requires Amy to be awake, so he could chance a look.
The wisp chirps quietly, slowly waking up when he heard Shadow walk into the room. Shadow will set down his knapsack, picking up the wet cloth that had fallen. He brought in a bowl of water thankfully and gets it damp again. Gently, he starts to run it across her forehead.]
[ Her room is typical Amy-- cute but practical. Her hammer is settled in a corner, along with some weights. The closet is filled with different dresses, surprisingly not in varying shades of red, but all different colors. Everything in here screams Amy, unlike the last place she'd lived.
When he runs that cold cloth against her hot forehead, she doesn't stir at first. She's a lot more ill than she'd let on yesterday, but after a few moments, her eyelids do flutter open. She looks a little disoriented for a few seconds as she comes to. ]
Good morning. [ ...Is what she tries to say. Her voice cracks painfully and is near non existent. But at least an attempt was made? ]
