[Should have been obvious when a certain annoying blue hedgehog hasn't been annoying for awhile. Shouldn't have become reality. Or perhaps it's for the best the hedgehog isn't here anymore. Why the hell has she not repaired her home yet?!
He left her alone, expected she get the help she needed to get the home patched up and yet...it's still in disrepair a month after what happened. How annoying. He would have continued on his business with this knowledge annoying him in the back of his mind, but recent events have led him back here again, at her home.
He adjusts the scarf around his neck, standing on the pathway leading to the front door. He shouldn't. She needs to learn to live her life without him. But she's without her companions staying with her anymore. He clenches his left hand, scowling as he finally stops standing in one place and stomps up to her door. He doesn't knock, his ears twitching instead to listen for any sounds coming from within the home.]
[ What he will hear is pretty simple: the sound of furniture getting dragged around. She's rearranging things-- with Sonic and Tails gone, it's been uncomfortably quiet and almost unbearably lonely. Their sudden departure has been a pretty big hit; she'd looked for them for days but they seem to have vanished into thin air. Just like Surge and Kit.
The house is a reminder of their presence. So, she's preoccupying herself with moving things and making the house a little bit different. Also, because while repairs haven't started, arrangements have been made and she's trying to make things easier. ]
... [There's movement of furniture? He continues to listen, but doesn't hear anything else that stands out...the hand that was about to knock, lowers. There's no need to add to her troubles if she's busy. He'll instead start to walk around her home, to look at the damage that still needs repairs.
[ It's freezing, honestly. Amy's layered, wearing a few jackets. He can see if he glances through a window. The look on her face is contemplative, and she's eyeing the furniture wearily. Well. She was.
Because even if he hasn't seen her? She catches a glimpse of black and red from the living room window. She moves to the window and opens it, leaningput slightly. ]
Hi, Shadow. If you're looking for Sonic, he hasn't been here in a while.
[ Because that's the only reason she thinks he could be snooping around. It's a valid reason, at least. ]
[He comes to a halt when the nearest window is pulled opened.] I'm aware. [His expression looking more irritable at the topic of choice Amy has picked. That and having to speak to her again. He could have just walked off the moment she spoke to him, but her current appearance pisses him off more.]
[ That's a cute, loaded question. Why is she still here? She doesn't know. Can't imagine why, while Sonic and Tails had disappeared in the middle of the night, she remained. She leans her elbows on the window frame. ]
I don't know. You'd have to ask whoever is in charge of making people go poof.
It's not so bad with blankets. [ She shrugs her shoulders nonchalantly, pulling her coat a little tighter around herself. ] Cid and a few others people are gonna help me fix it.
[There would be a scolding here, or a lecture. Instead, Shadow simply stands there in silence, considering the other hedgehog for a moment. His steps move him first, as he turns around and decides to take his leave. There is no further need to talk. She made her choice and he has no reason to linger.
And yet, he keeps coming back every few days, just to see if she continues to stay in that freezing home, or use her head to find temporary shelter until the repairs are done.]
[ Temporary shelter, shemporary shmelter. This girl is stubborn to a fault, just like him-- she likes her house. So, she stays, cold and snow be damned. There is a little progress being made, at least, slowly but surely... but not enough.
The next time he comes around? He can definitely hear some pretty nasty sounding coughing coming from the living room. ]
[You can still like your house and stay somewhere else temporarily!! He continues to keep a space between them when he comes by for a quick check-up. At least there's some progress being made to repair her home.
Just as he prepares to leave, his ears twitch at the faintest sound of a cough.] ... [He turns back toward the home to get a better listen. A grit of his teeth. That stupid girl better not have gotten herself sick.]
[ NO THAT'S NOT HOW THIS WORKS SHADOW. She likes her little broken ass house, cold or not! And that cough? It's a lingering, painful, deep chest sort of situation. This dumb girl is absolutely sick. The coughing eventually stops, but is quickly followed by a sneeze, and a miserable groan.
Will this make her think twice about staying in her cold as shit home? Nope. She's not going anywhere. ]
[THE HOUSE WILL GET REPAIRED. YOU DON'T NEED TO STAY THERE WHILE IT'S BEING REPAIRED.
He doesn't have to listen long to confirm his suspicion. Unfortunate it turned out for the worse. Clenching his fist, he moves back around towards the entrance, and proceeds to break down the front door. The home is already in disrepaired, what's one broken door.]

The sound of the door breaking makes Amy stiffen, and despite the illness she currently faces, she is fully prepared to open a can of whoop ass. Fortunately, all she sees is Shadow.
She stares at him from her blanket nest upon the couch, looking much like a caterpillar cocooned and ready for her metamorphosis. ]
[How about he stomps over and gets into her personal space instead, and puts a hand on her forehead.] This is not a cold. You won't get better staying here.
[ Oh lordy he comin'... she blinks when he places a hand against her forehead, which is definitely a little too warm. ] It's fine, really. I'm fine. Everything is fine.
This is proper shelter, I promise. My bedroom isn't damaged and is actually pretty warm, that's where I've mostly been staying.
[ Okay. He seems legitimately concerned. Huh. ]
I won't argue medicine though. I've just been trying to push through with tea...
[ She trails off, a little disoriented. For a moment, she looks like she might fall asleep-- but she blinks and shakes her head, snapping herself out of it. ]
Tch. You can barely stay awake. [She probably wouldn't fight him as he lifts her into his arms, taking some of the blanket. He highly doubts her room is suitable enough, but transporting her while it's freezing outside is not ideal...
He will carry her to the room and investigate first.]
I just-- [ She squeaks when he just picks her up, and she blinks a few times. Maybe she's just hallucinating right now.
Her room is significantly warmer. And also decorated very Amy. Her hammer rests in the corner of the room, and most items in here are pretty girly. There may or not be weights in the corner opposite her hammer. ]
[It is indeed very Amy, but how it appears is not his focus right now. The bedroom was indeed warm, but it could be warmer. It should be fine for tonight, he'll get her somewhere else when the weather calms down and it's daytime.
He's moving to the bed to set her down, practically covering her up like a burrito.] Stay put.
[He'll be leaving to see what medicine and supplies she had lying around that he can use. If he finds it insufficient, then he'll prep something himself.]
